Please
Note:
Because of space limitations, no more than 30 items (30 boys and 30
girls) can be sizes preemie to 18 months.
|
Check clothing for
stains, holes, fading, missing buttons/snaps, broken zippers, etc.
Clothing should be freshly washed, ironed, and outfits should be hung
on plastic hangers. We have found that the pants hangers are the
best. Please do not pin pants to hangers. Plastic hangers are available
at some Old Navy stores for free or, email us if you can't find
any, and we will try to help you locate some. When placing items on
hangers, have the open end facing the left (like a question mark).
Shoes must be new or like new to sell. Each consignor is limited
to 10 pair of shoes per sale. Shoes must be tied together with
string or ribbon. Do not use safety pins to attach shoes. **Due to
space limitations and in only providing the best for our customers, we
will only allow NEW or Like-New shoes. Please do not bring dirty
shoes to the sale as we will not put them out on the floor.
Toys and furniture must be clean and include batteries (if applicable).
Small parts or accessories should be contained in a zip-lock bag.
We will NOT accept car seats, used underwear, or toy weapons to
sell.
If we find items checked in that do not meet our strict criteria, they
will not be put out to sell. Please do not be offended if we ask
you to take some of your items back. We strive to provide shoppers with
only the best!

How to make tags
|
NOTE: All items MUST be added into the
tagging system by midnight the day before dropoff.
Consignor ID – Your ID will be a 4 digit numerical number
assigned to you by our tagging service and will remain the same for
subsequent events.
Size - Choose the correct size for your item where applicable.
Description – List the name brand in this space as well as the
condition of the item. If an item of clothing is marked one size but
wears like another, let shoppers know here. For larger items like
furniture, it may be helpful to point out the item’s retail price.
Discount –
Items can be marked to discount on Saturday at 10am. Discounted
items will be sold for 2 hours on Saturday morning at 25% off. If
you want to discount your items for the last two hours, you must check
the discount box when you are tagging the item. Please print the
tags for discounted items on colored cardstock (this will help
customers identify which items will be discounted). Please note
that if you have an item that was printed for a previous sale that you
want to discount for this sale, you will have to reprint the tag.
Donate – This is not an option for this sale. All unsold
items must be picked up at the end of the sale.
Price – Minimum price must be $1 and should increase in $.50-$1
increments. Outfits sell better, so we highly encourage you to make as
many outfits as possible.
Do not make handwritten changes or corrections to your tags. Print a
new tag if you make a mistake or change your mind about a price. You
will not be able to make any changes to your tags once they are checked
in to the sale. Changes made by hand will NOT be honored at check-out.
|
Tagging your items
|
Tags need to be printed on white
card stock (not computer paper) as the barcodes will scan better. Card
stock can be found at office supply stores like Staples, Office Depot,
and Office Max. You will need the 8.5" x 11" sheets. Please get colored
cardstock for discounted items as well. Tags will print 6 to a
page, and you will have to cut them out and attach them to the items.
Please use a tagging gun, safety pin, or stapler to attach the
consignor tag to the size tag on your clothes. When tagging clothes, do
not use straight pins, tape, glue or bubble gum! Pins put holes in
clothes that could damage the clothes. Items do not have to be
inventoried all at once. You can work on checking in your items
and printing tags a few at a time.
Accessories sell better if they are bagged and sold with an outfit. If
they are sold seperately, place them in a zippered bag and tape the tag
to the bag.
For shoes, string ribbon or string through the top of the card where
the safety pin goes. It would be wise to tape your consignor number to
the bottom of each shoe just in case it comes off the tag. Again,
only new or like-new shoes will be accepted.
For toys, books, dvds, and furniture, neatly tape the tag to a place
where it is easily visible to shoppers.
As with everything, do not hesitate to ask questions! Feel free to
email us using the contact us link above or post to the online message
board (see link below).

Pricing Guide
|
These prices are for individual pieces.
You should try to make outfits when possible. Add the individual pieces
together, add a couple dollars, and see if that amount sounds right to
you. (Would I buy this at this price?)
We'll be updating this soon with ideas for
pricing outfits along with pictures.
Please round up to the nearest dollar.
When pricing, consider size, condition and rarity of the piece. Also
consider brand - these prices are general guides for Gymboree - use the
high end for NWT items or things like Janie and Jack or Hanna -
maybe even add a dollar or two. Think of ebay prices once you subtract
all of the fees.
Also, when putting outfits together, try
not to make too large of a set. One shirt, one bottom, socks and hair
pretty is great. Add a sweater if you have it or sell the sweater
seperate or with a dress. An outfit like sweater, shirt, pants, skirt,
socks, tights, hair pretties, purse, etc. might be too overwhelming to
a buyer.
If you have questions or need pricing
advice, feel free to ask!
